Centro ruso-guatemalteco de estudios mayas Yury Knórosov (CEMYK) was opened on 30 October 2012, its creation initiated by Mother Ines Ayau, head of the Trinidad Lavra-Mambre Monastery. Mother Ines was awarded the Russian Order of Friendship of Peoples.
