On August 9, in Rostov-on-Don, the 23rd Summer session for teachers of Russia "Lessons of the Holocaust - the path to tolerance" began its work.
This year it is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the tragedy in Zmievskaya Balka. The seminar was attended by 40 school teachers, methodologists and museum workers from 19 regions of the Russian Federation (Republics of Bashkortostan, Kalmykia, North Ossetia-Alania; Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories; Moscow; regions of Bryansk, Vologda, Voronezh, Kostroma, Kursk, Leningrad, Moscow, Orenburg, Pskov, Rostov, Saratov, Chelyabinsk, Yaroslavl).
The seminar was opened by Dr. Ilya Altman, Director of the Center for the History of the Holocaust and Genocides of RSUH, Mr. Mikhail Potapov, Chairman of the Rostov Jewish Religious Community, and Ms. Regina Ravskaya, Director of the Family Hearth Foundation.
