Faculty and staff of RSUH and the Psychological Service of RSUH were commended by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science for organizing a hotline to help students.
On July 26, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation held a ceremony to express their appreciation to the teams of the universities that organized hotlines for providing psychological assistance to students.
In the welcoming speech, Mr. Grigory Gurov, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education, thanked the people that had actively supported the project to provide psychological assistance to students. He noted the importance of this work as a mechanism for building relationships between students and public authorities. He also emphasized the relevance of hotlines, since their help was not limited just to students, and pointed out the need for continuing existence of such initiatives in the future.
Then Mr. Gurov presented the commendation to the faculty and staff of the universities. Our University was represented by Dr. Tamara Pilyuk, Senior Psychologist of the Psychological Service of RSUH.
For professionalism in providing psychological assistance to students via a hotline, the faculty and staff of RSUH were awarded a Commendation from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. Letters of gratitude for a significant contribution to the organization of a hotline were presented to Mr. Irakli Bolkvadze, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Social Work of RSUH, Dr. Denis Kondratyev, Head of the Psychological Service of RSUH, and Dr. Tamara Pilyuk, Senior Psychologist of RSUH.
Since February 28, 2022, the hotline has been operating at RSUH to provide psychological assistance to students. Students, including international students, as well as persons from the DPR and LPR, who call the Psychological Service of RSUH, can receive professional help, as well as obtain reliable relevant information.
