Professor Galina Ershova, Director of the Knorozov Mesoamerican Center of RSUH, was awarded the Honorary Diploma of the President of the Russian Federation for her merits in academic and pedagogical activities, the training of qualified specialists and many years of conscientious work.
Galina Gavrilovna is the author of over 300 academic, popular science, critical and literary publications, including those touching upon issues of interdisciplinary research. In addition, she is the Director of the RSUH branch in the Republic of Guatemala and Head of the Knorozov Centers for the Study of the Mayans of RSUH in Guatemala and Mexico.
The scope of her academic activity is connected with the history and linguistics of Mesoamerica, the history and culture of pre-Columbian America, sacred geography, mythology and the theory of self-organization of the anthroposystem.
