On July 1, the Confucius Institute of RSUH celebrated the end of the 2021/2022 academic year. The event was attended not only by the students of the Center, but also by guests who wish to get to know the Confucius Institute of RSUH better.
The evening was opened by Dr. Zhang Rui (张瑞) (НЕ УВЕРЕН В ИМЕНИ), Director of the Confucius Institute of RSUH from the Chinese side. In her address, Ms. Zhang Rui congratulated all students on the end of the academic year and wished them further success in learning Chinese. The event continued with a quiz show, which allowed the participants to demonstrate their knowledge of Chinese culture, hieroglyphics and mythology.
The students of the traditional wudang wushu and qigong group “Fundamentals of the 24 forms of Tai Chi” made a presentation, and Mr. Anton Podgursky, the teacher of the group, spoke about the healing effects of wushu and qigong and held a small master class. Calligrapher Konstantin Ageev, lecturer at the Confucius institute of RSUH, held a master class on writing hieroglyphs. Ms. Yulia Malysheva, the host of the tea ceremonies, treated the guests to fragrant Chinese tea and talked about the varieties of tea from different regions of China.
Chinese music, including live performances, was played at the event: Mr. Anton Podgursky played a piece on the Chinese xiao, and Ling Yuanxue (凌老师), (НЕ УВЕРЕН В ИМЕНИ) a lecturer at the Confucius Institute of RSUH, sang a song (前门情思大碗茶).
The guests were offered a culinary treat that everyone liked. All participants were happy to resume the traditional events after a long break. Many guests noted how much they had missed the friendly and spiritual atmosphere of the Institute.
We wish you a pleasant summer and we look forward to seeing all the friends of the Confucius Institute in our classes and at our events in September.
