As part of the "Academic Regiment" campaign, we continue to talk about students and teachers of the Moscow State Institute for History and Archives who fought for their homeland.

Unfortunately, not all the names of the students and teachers of the Institute who died during the War are inscribed on the memorial plaque in RSUH. But over time, using materials from archives, it was possible to discover the biographies of other faculty, staff and students who went to the front. Kondrat Grigoryevich Minkin and Alexander Perfilovich Pavlyuchenko were among them.

Kondrat Minkin was born in 1911 in the Tula region. He was mobilized by the Communist Regional Military Commissariat and became the commander of the battery of the 795th artillery regiment of the 82nd rifle division. During the service, he was awarded the Medal "For Military Merit" and the Order of the Patriotic War of the II degree. He was killed in action in August 1943.

Alexander Pavlyuchenko was born in 1916 in the Tula region. There is not much information about him, but it can be said with certainty that he was drafted by the Donskoy District Military Commissariat and served in the 155th Infantry Division. He had been a deputy company commander until his death on November 25, 1942 during the well-known offensive operation "Mars".
