On April 11, RSUH hosted the international conference "Hotel business in modern conditions: current trends and development", organized by the Department of Public Relations, Tourism and Hospitality of the Faculty of Oriental Studies and Social and Communication Sciences.
The participants of the Conference were representatives of the tourism business: hoteliers, top managers and business owners. In addition, faculty and students of the Faculty, as well as representatives of other universities, were present at the event.
The discussion was devoted to the prospects for the development of the hotel business in Russia. The moderator was Dr. Maria Kamshechko, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Public Relations, Tourism and Hospitality of RSUH.
The Conference began with the presentation "The experience of creating and managing Russian hotel chains" by the founder and general director of RosinvestHotel.
The expert spoke about the company's activities, as well as about the methodology for developing the concepts of hotel complexes, hotels, country clubs, etc. He specifically noted that the geography of the company's interests was focused on the regions with high business activity, industrial and cultural centers.
Faculty members from Russian universities presented reports on the trends of the hotel business in Russia in 2022, the economic aspects of the development of the hotel business in modern conditions, the prospects for the tourism business in the face of sanctions, as well as the issue of tolerance in the international hotel industry.
Of particular interest to the participants of the event was the development of tourism in Russia without booking.com, the features of business administration in the hotel industry, as well as the importance of the digital ecosystem in tourism and hospitality.
