On March 29, a session of the Academic Council was held, at which a cooperation agreement was signed with the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the results of international activities for 2021 were summed up and a new educational program "Political Conflictology" was approved.
Rector Bezborodov and Dr. Nikiforov, Director of the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, signed an agreement on academic and educational cooperation.
Dr. Nikiforov spoke about the activities of the Institute, mentioning Slavic studies, books and monographs penned by Slavic scholars.
“RSUH students have always been interested in the activities of your Institute. Now, they will be able to intern there. I believe that the signing of the agreement will further strengthen relations between RSUH and the Institute of Slavic Studies,” said the Rector.
Dr. Zabotkina, Adviser for International Affairs, made a presentation "International Activities of RSUH", in which she spoke about the strategy for developing cooperation between the University and foreign educational institutions.
RSUH plans to continue integration into the global educational and academic space and increase its level of competitiveness. The University will also pay more academic attention to the countries of the CIS, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.
Vera Ivanovna mentioned the fact that RSUH is now part of a consortium of 24 universities participating in the implementation of the project “Language Policy of Multilingualism”.
For the development of international activities, it was proposed to prepare and conclude agreements on remote educational programs with Russian partners and start implementing a preparatory program for foreign citizens.
Dr. Larisa Pastukhova, Vice-Rector for Project Activities, spoke about the participation of RSUH in the 19th All-Russian Youth Competition "My country - my Russia", showcasing projects for the socio-economic development of Russian territories. The results of the competition of 2021, the nominations and action plan for 2022 were presented to the Academic Council.
Dr. Alexey Pischulin, Director of the Federal Center for Humanitarian Practices of RSUH, spoke about the tasks set for the Center for the coming year.
“RSUH was chosen as the base platform because the competences of our team were related to cultural heritage and values. We hope that the work with our like-minded people will have both a theoretical character and a practical result,” he said.
Members of the Council supported the opening of the program "Political Conflictology" (B.A. major 37.03.02"Conflictology").
Dr. Efim Pivovar, President of RSUH, said that the program is offered by the Institute of Psychology jointly with the Department of Post-Soviet Countries of the Institute of Post-Soviet and Interregional Studies.
“The program is aimed at training psychologists who will be ready to make research and analysis their professional activities, including the study of conflict resolution and peaceful ways of interaction in various spheres of society and at the level of international relations, knowledge about main patterns of the emergence of conflicts, their dynamics, structures, subjects of conflicts and the technologies for their settlement,” said Efim Iosifovich.
The Council supported the rules for admission to training programs for academic specialists at RSUH’s graduate school, adopted the draft Regulation "On the training of academic specialists at RSUH’s graduate school" and approved the curricula and educational programs for this program.
In addition, the meeting approved a new version of the Regulations on the procedure for the transfer, expulsion and reinstatement of students of the Humanities College of RSUH.
The draft decisions following the reports of Dr. Mikhail Kozhokin, Vice-Rector for Development and Information Resources, presented at the session, were unanimously supported by the members of the Council. Also approved were advanced continuing education programs for the 2021/2022 academic year, and the tuition for these programs.
Dr. Irakli Bolkvadze, Vice-Rector for Administrative and Social Work, proposed establishing a state social scholarship in an increased amount for the eligible first- and second-year students with the above-average academic record, in the amount of 7337 rubles form the 1st to the 30th of April 2022. The initiative was supported by all members of the Council.
During the meeting, the topics of Ph.D. dissertations were also approved.
A congratulatory address was awarded to Dr. Mikhail Grachev, Professor of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Political Science, and Dr. Alexei Mikhailov, Head of the Engineering and Technical Office of RSUH due to their anniversaries.
The Council also promoted to the position of Associate Professor Dr. Evgenia Dolgova ("Historiography, source studies, methods of historical research") and Dr. Vladislav Razdyakonov (“Philosophy of Religion and Religious Studies”).
