On March 12, the Institute of History and Archives of RSUH hosted an open lecture by Dr. Ilya Nikiforov, Head of the Department for Human Capital Development and Training of the Department for Social Development of the Far East and the Arctic of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic. The event was organized by the Center “New Russia. History of post-Soviet Russia.
Dr. NIkiforov discussed the current state policy in the field of social support for the Russian population: goals, objectives, special measures and results for the period of 2020-2021. He spoke about the development of priority territories, the specifics of the developing measures of state support for citizens.
The expert noted the main areas of work of the Government of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern regions. They are the meeting of personnel needs and the creation of conditions aimed at improving the quality of life.
Students learned about the activities of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, about the work that goes toward designing proposals focused on the development of Russian regions that are part of the Far Eastern Federal District.
After the lecture, the students asked questions and took part in the discussion.
