Academic Council of RSUH discussed the information policy of the university


On February 22, a session of the Academic Council was held at RSUH, at which the results of 2021 were summed up and the avenues for the information policy of the university for 2022 determined. A decision was made to open the Yadov Center for Digital Sociology and to join the University Consortium of Big Data Researchers.


The Council decided to award the title Doctor HONORIS CAUSA of RSUH in recognition of high merits in the field of archeology, museum work, history of Ancient Egypt, for the development of academic and cultural relations between Russia and Egypt, to Mr. Khaled Al Enani Al Ezz, Minister for Tourism and Antiquities of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The title "Honored Worker of RSUH" was awarded to Dr. Natalya Grishina, Associate Professor of the Department of Information Security of RSUH.

Dr. Mikhail Kozhokin, Vice-Rector for Development and Information Resources, presented the report “RSUH Information Policy: Results of 2021 and prospects for 2022”. According to it, for the whole of 2021, the site was in the “green zone” based on the results of monitoring by Rosobrnadzor. The University has actively cooperated with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, creating and providing media content for the information resources of the Ministry.

Dr. Kozhokin also presented the results of promoting the admission campaign of RSUH last year, external and internal communications, official social networks in 2021, as well as the plan for 2022.

He ended by summing up the activities of the RSUH bookstore "At the Centaur" in 2021 and outlined development prospects for 2022.

The members of the Council decided to nominate Dr. Efim Pivovar, President of RSUH, a candidate for membership in the Russian Academy of Sciences in the specialty "History of Russia". Dr. Andrey Usachev, Professor of the Department of History and Theory of Historical Science, was also nominated a candidate for membership in the Russian Academy of Sciences in the specialty "History of Russia".

During the session, the Council voted for RSUH to become a member of the Association "University Consortium of Big Data Researchers".

“The Consortium was created on the initiative of the National Research Tomsk State University. RSUH has a lot to offer to the Consortium, we are actively working within the framework of state tasks in the field of sociology and economics,” said Rector Bezborodov.

It was decided to open the Yadov Center for Digital Sociology at RSUH. It will provide new opportunities for analyzing big data. The project of the Center was presented by Dr. Olga Kryshtanovskaya. According to her, the creation of a new sociological center named after Dr. Yadov, will attract the attention of the academic and professional community.

“The Center will claim the role of a leader in the expert community, conducting landmark studies of public opinion, and engaging in forecasting socio-political processes based on monitoring social networks and other sources of information,” she explained.

Rector of RSUH presented awards from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation to:

● Dr. Tatyana Arkhipova, Chair of the Department of the History of State Institutions and Public Organizations of RSUH, was awarded a medal for contribution to the implementation of state policy in the field of education and technological development;

● the title "Honorary Worker of Education of the Russian Federation" was conferred on Dr. Pavel Shkarenkov, Vice-Rector for Continuing Education, and Dr. Galina Ershova, Director of the Knorozov Mesoamerican Center;

● The diploma of the Ministry of Science of Higher Education of the Russian Federation for significant achievements in the field of education and conscientious work was awarded to: Dr. Nikolay Lepe, Dean of the Faculty of Management, Dr. Igor Shaitanov, Director of the Center for Modern Comparative Studies of RSUH, Dr. Tatyana Khorkhordina, Chair of the Department of History and Organization of Archives, Dr. Olga Sedova, Professor of the Department of Organizational Development and Dr. Anastasia Zakharova, Head of the Office for the Activities of the Academic and Dissertation Councils of the Rector's Office.

The academic title of Professor in the specialty "General History" was awarded to Dr. Viktoria Zhuravleva.
