Career Center has been opened at RSUH - a department that will be useful to every student and graduate in finding internships and vacancies. We talked about it with Dr. Elena Chirkova, head of Career Center.
Why is Career Center a relevant initiative for students?
We plan to actively cooperate with employers who are interested in hiring students of our university, as well as vacancy platforms (HeadHunter, SuperJob, Fakultetus, etc.), including in the issue of joint events.
How will the connection between students and potential employers be established?
We already have a pool of partner companies with which we cooperate in organizing internships, practices and events such as Career Day, job fairs and more.
What career activities does the Center plan to carry out?
Students have the opportunity to take the "Professional Career" test, which allows them to assess important qualities, abilities, motivation and competencies in order to accurately predict further professional growth and career. In the future, a vocational guidance specialist will work at the Center.
Now we are planning to develop an online course "Employment Practice", which will cover most issues related to employment, as well as further work with students with disabilities.
We will conduct entrepreneurial skills development events, trainings and seminars on resumé writing, soft and hard skills development opportunities, effective interviewing, consultations on labor law, etc.
Career Center is not the only department that helps students develop their competencies in the field of employment. Do you plan to interact and conduct joint activities, for example, with the Psychological Service?
The Career Center plans to actively cooperate with all the pertinent departments, faculties and organizations.
How do you see the future of the career market in Russia?
IT specialties, professions related to augmented and virtual reality, robotics, medicine, professions at the intersection of creative industries and artificial intelligence will be in demand.
Completely new specialties will appear, for example, a trend watcher is a specialist who studies changes in the economy, science, politics, culture and public life, giving strategic recommendations to business based on their analysis; corporate anthropologist - a specialist who studies the markets of a company's products using anthropological methods, increasing the company's connection with its target audience.
