"At the Centaur" received a collective monograph "The End of the Cold War as Perceived by Contemporaries and Historians", dedicated to the debatable and little-studied pages of the history of the last stage of the Cold War.
The book was published under the editorship of Dr. Olga Pavlenko, First Vice-Rector of RSUH, and Dr. Viktoria Zhuravleva, Head of the Department of American Studies at RSUH.
The chapters, written by well-known Russian and American researchers, are distinguished by a variety of methodological approaches and thematic priorities.
The book presents leaders of countries, diplomats, politicians, scholars, civic activists, journalists and filmmakers who have witnesses one of the turning points in world history.
The monograph is addressed to all who seek to better understand how and why the Cold War ended in the 20th century and how to prevent international confrontation from reaching a critical point in the 21st century.
