We wish you a happy Russian Student Day!

Every year, on January 25, the Russian Student Day is celebrated. Thematic events, competitions, congratulations - we are surrounded by all this on this festive day. We would like to convey the wishes of the administration of RSUH and share the impressions of students about life at the University.

“Dear RSUH students! On Russian Student Day, we sincerely wish you good health and inexhaustible energy! RSUH students have always achieved great success in all types of activities - in public life, creativity, academics and sports. Stay just as creative, purposeful, open to new knowledge! We will always support and help you!”

- Department of Student Affairs.

For the students of RSUH, this period is a time for development and self-realization, creativity and research. Some of them shared their answers to the question “What is a student body?”.

Ms. Tatyana Koshkina, 2nd year M.A. student (Intercultural Communication: Language, History and Literature of Russia and Italy) of the Institute of Philology and History:

“For me, being a student is a time of experimentation and self-discovery. It is as a student that you try to understand your desires, look closely at various activities and give them a try. And most importantly, at this time it is not so awful to have made some mistake, because you are just learning. Student life is, to some extent, a test drive of the real life. You are surrounded by like-minded people, you acquire a huge amount of new knowledge and skills daily. There are moments during this period when you can test yourself or even discover several hidden superpowers. Student life is the time when you set the direction for your future career, your way of thinking and life. And RSUH helps in all this. The University provides opportunities for development and to all students!”

Ms. Varvara Shilova, 1st year B.A. student (Sociology of Marketing):

“For me, student life is a new stage in life, a new place, new people, new horizons. This is an opportunity to speak and be heard not only by others, but also by oneself, an opportunity to better understand oneself. It is a sense of heady freedom, coupled with responsibility, setting and fulfilling goals, exploring one's capabilities. It is movement, aspiration, action. It was Dostoevsky who wrote that there is no worse punishment for a person than a useless and absurd activity, and as a student I feel how my efforts, thoughts and knowledge are converted into a positive action. I feel the real potential, not the illusion thereof, I am the one who achieves the result, I feel life and see myself in it."

Ms. Milena Tedeeva, 3rd year student (Public Policy and Social Sciences):

“Every time I think about the student life, I imagine many open doors to a brighter future. Of course, this is a bit of a fantasy, but for some reason it seems a reality to me. The youth is a unique time that shapes both ourselves and our environment. We are learning to live in a big world, where we can gain experience everywhere. And at RSUH this is clearly felt. Lots of hobby groups, events and bright people around. Even during the Covid times, the University is holding thematic online meetings and competitions. I like to get acquainted with knowledgeable teachers who give exciting tasks that make you think. Student life is a wonderful and unique time. I would like to wish every student to enjoy this time and not to forget about their opportunities in everyday life. Stay positive and healthy!”

Ms. Arevik Novikova, 2nd year M.A. student (International Journalism):

“Student life is a great time for self-realization, an opportunity to express yourself in academic life and creative activities, find new friends and share knowledge and experience with them. RSUH is an educational platform for active and purposeful people who are ready to gain knowledge anytime and anywhere. On Tatiana's Day, I want to wish all students productive studies, excellent grades and joyful emotions in their life"
