The Academic Council of RSUH summed up the results of Admissions-2021

On October 27, a session of the Academic Council was held, at which the results of Admissions-2021 were summed up and admission rules for 2022 were approved.

Rector Bezborodov spoke on the results of Admissions-2021, touching upon the campaign itself and about the most popular programs.

The highest competition was recorded for the following B.A. tracks: "Advertising and PR", "Philology" ("Foreign languages") and "Cultural Studies".

The highest passing grades were in the programs "Philology" (specialization "Comparative studies"), "Advertising and PR", "Philology" (specialization "Contemporary Russian literature"), "International relations" (specialization "International organizations and International Cooperation", "World Politics and International Business ") and "Fundamental and Applied Linguistics ".

Rector drew attention to the fact there was an increase in the share of RSUH graduates among those enrolled in RSUH M.A. programs. In addition, it was noted that over the past 3 years, there has been an increase in the number of applicants to the Pre-University and Humanities College of RSUH.

Summing up the results of his speech, Alexander Borisovich announced an action plan aimed at increasing the efficiency of Admissions-2022.

For the next admission campaign, it is planned to attract more international applicants, more graduates of the Humanities College and Pre-University, B.A. and specialist programs graduates to continue their studies at the University, as well as to continue the technical development of the work of the Admissions, applicants’ personal accounts and BIT automated system. The work will also include expanding the list of RSUH dorms.

“I know that RSUH employs professionally minded people who are ready to tackle complex and new issues. It is important that we are able to solve them in order to improve the work of the admissions campaign. This year, modern technologies were also employed and this experience will be useful to us next year as well,” said Rector.

During the session, the rules for Admissions-2022 were considered and adopted, as were the rules for the admission, transfer, expulsion and reinstatement of students of the Pre-University for the 2021/2022 academic year.

The members of the Council unanimously decided to give the Shanyavsky Award for outstanding contribution to the development of fundamental research in 2021 to Dr. Sergei Zenkin, senior researcher of the Meletinsky Center, Dr. Sergei Serebryany, Director of the Meletinsky Academic Institute and Dr. Olga Khristoforova, Director of the Center for Typology and Semiotics of Folklore.

The session adopted the work plan of the Academic Council for the 2021/2022 academic year. The report on the work of the Academic Council of RSUH in the 2020/2021 academic year was approved.

The Council also listened the report of Dr. Inessa Usoltseva "The problem of youth integration into the age categories of the anthroposystem: an interdisciplinary approach", aimed at a comprehensive and systematic study of the difficulties the young people face when entering social relations based on the academically identified patterns and methodological attitudes.

In addition, the Council supported the inclusion of the Golenishchev Center for Studies of Ancient Civilization of Egypt and Sudan into the Institute of Oriental Cultures and Antiquity of RSUH.

Also, the candidates for the position of Chairmen of the State Examination Commissions of the Domodedovo RSUH branch for 2022 were presented.

The Council also made a decision to grant the right of advising postgraduate students to Dr. Andrey Roganov, Director of the Institute of Information Sciences and Security Systems of RSUH, and to replace the Chairman of the State Examination Commission for the graduate program "Law" for 2022.

Rector awarded the winners of the Knorozov scholarship for the 2021/2022 academic year: Mr. Sergei Batishchev, 4th year undergraduate student of the Institute of Information Sciences and Security Technologies; and Mr. Vasily Vorobyov, 2nd year graduate student of the Center for Typology and Semiotics of Folklore.

Dr. Dmitry Abramov (Russian history) and Dr. Pavel Alipov (Historiography) were promoted to the position of Associate Professor. Dr. Nadezhda Balandina, Dr. Anastasia Belonovskaya and Dr. Daria Nerents were promoted to Associate Professors.
