The days of student science started at RSUH

On October 12, a session of the Council of Young Scholars was held at RSUH, dedicated to the opening of the Days of Student Science-2021 of RSUH.

The Days have been held at RSUH since 2008 with the aim of identifying and revealing the academic potential of students. Within the framework of the Days, master classes by experts from leading Russian universities, open lectures, conferences and round tables are planned with over 100 events to be held in total.

The plenary session was attended by members of the Council of Young Scholars and the representatives of the Rector's Office, as well as by RSUH students of all levels.

Rector Bezborodov expressed gratitude to the members of the Council for the support of young scholars noting the importance of training future faculty for the academic community.

“The Days of Student Science is a big and significant event for RSUH. The University continues its work aimed at identifying and supporting young scholars of RSUH, since this is how the continuity of scientific generations is assured,” Rector said.

The meeting participants were also greeted by First Vice-Rector Olga Pavlenko, Dr. Evgenia Dolgova, Chair of the Council of Young Scholars of RSUH, Dr. Nadezhda Arkhipova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Pavel Shkarenkov, Vice-Rector for Continuing Education and Dr. Nikolai Borisov, Head of the Research Department.

Dr. Dolgova made a presentation on the achievements and development prospects of the Council of Young Scholars. In addition, the work plan for the new academic year was approved.

For the 2021-2022 academic year, the Council is planning to carry out a set of projects to reveal the potential of research of young RSUH scholars, expand their presence in the system of grant support and promote research projects in the media.

The results of the contest "Thesis-2021" and "Junior researcher of RSUH" in 2021 were summed up.

Also, Knorozov scholarship winners were determined for 2021. They were M.A. students of RSUH Vasily Vorobyov and Sergey Batishchev.

Ms. Maria Romanova was elected Deputy Chairman of the Council. Ms. Diana Kolesnichenko was voted to the position of  secretary of the Council of Young Scholars.
