On the 4th of April Days of Denmark passed in the Russian State University for the Humanities.
By tradition, at the beginning of April Days of Denmark pass in the Russian State University for the Humanities, and April 2006 was not exception. The seventh year on end the RSUH holds a Day of national culture of the Kingdom conjunctly with the Embassy of Denmark in the Russian Federation. On the threshold of the welcome ceremony of Days of Denmark rector of the RSUH, E.I.Pivovar, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Denmark to the RF, Mr. Per Carlsen. For Mr. Per Carlsen, who had replaced a Honorary Doctor, HONORIS CAUSA, of RSUH, Mr. Lars Vissing, it is the first oficcial visit to our University.
Irina V. Karapetyants, vice-rector for international activity, made an opening adress on the welcome ceremony. Irina Vladimirovna expressed special thanks to attache for culture of the Embassy of Denmark, Ms. Galina Simonova, who actively supports and develops scientific and cultural contacts of our University with Danish colleagues. Thanks to the efforts of all members of the diplomatic mission politics, business, social life, art and scientific achievements of denmark - everithing is opened for students and professors of the RSUH.
Further to the Days of Denmark Mr. Ambassador made a report on the theme: "A role of small States in the World politics".
According to the longstanding tradition the Days of Denmark finishes by the presentation of the Art Exhibition. It will last until April 29.
