On the 20^th of April the International scientific Conference "Conflicts and compromises in the sociocultural context" was opened in the Russian State University for the Humanities; The ceremony was organized by the Department of the World History and Center for foreign history of RSUH.

The Conference was opened by the chair of the Department of the World History of RSUH, the chairman of the Organizing Committee of the conference, Professor N.I. Basovskaya. She greeted the participants of the Conference, which included guests from France, and expressed gratitude to the Administration of the University for their support in the organizing of the Conference.

The Conference will be continued on 21 and 22 of April, 2006
