It was organized by the Russian-Turkish center for education and research of the Russian State University for the Humanities, the International Foundation "Tolerans", by the assistance of the Department of Education of the Turkish Embassy in Moscow.

The Rector of the RSUH, Efim I. Pivovar made a welcoming speech. He noted that "Day of Turkey" is very important event for the University so long as it contributes to the development of the relations and cultural dialogue between Turkey and Russia. Efim Iosifovich emphasized on the importance of cooperation and expansion of contacts between the two countries. To extend these contacts it's needed to pay attention to the development of relations in the field of education. He thanked the guests for rendered support on their part, especially marking out the role of the Turkish Embassy, and noted that the Russian-Turkish center in RSUH has great prospects.
