On the 20th of July Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Islamic republic Iran to the Russian Federation Golamrez Ansary visited the RSUH. The adviser for culture of the Embassy, Rabii Mohammed Reza, the adviser for culture, Imanipur Mohammed Mehdi and the main interpreter of the Embassy, Mahdiyan Havsan, visited the University together with the Ambassador. Rector of the RSUH, Efim I. Pivovar, and vice-rector for international activity, Irina V. Karapetyants, met with the delegation of the IRI Embassy to the RF.
The Ambassador thanked for the given opportunity to visit the RSUH, with which the Embassy has been successfully collaborated for several years. Golamrez Ansary marked that at the last years his country gives privileged consideration for questions of the high education development, showing a particular interest to the expansion of collaboration with Russia in science-educational and cultural spheres. The interest to Russian history and culture rises in Iran. Particularly, last year the department of the Russia's history opened in the Teheran University.
The Ambassador marked that the RSUH possesses the teachers' and scientific-methodological base, permissive to prepare masters in Iranistics, speaking Farsi, knowing history, culture, different aspects of the modern development of Iranian Civilization. Besides, the RSUH represents great interest for Iranian students, who wish to get a good education abroad. Thereby according to Golamrez Ansary the cooperation of Iranian Embassy to Russia, Iranian educational institutions and the RSUH presents an important direction of the interaction of two countries in the line of students and teachers exchange, organization of combined training courses, realization of combined scientific and cultural projects.
Greeting the guests, Efim I. Pivovar, noted that the development of Iranistic is an important direction in educational and scientific activity in the RSUH. Particularly, iranists are prepared in such subdivisions of the University as Institute for Linguistics, Institute for Eastern cultures and antiquity, Division for history, politics and law of the Institute for history and archives. Department for post-soviet countries of the abroad is occupied with the range of problems, affecting different aspects of external politics and international economic relations of Iran. There is Iranian culture room in the University.
Commenting the opportunity of Iranian students' study in the RSUH, the rector stressed that the RSUH prepares highly skilled specialists practically at all directions of humanitarian knowledge. In whole there is preparation at 96 programs in the RSUH.
The delegation of the Iranian Embassy took an interest to the development directions, connected with art history in the RSUH. Efim I. Pivovar stressed that the University has wide opportunities for the preparation of art critics due to the developed system of teaching of these disciplines both traditional and comparatively young such as: art-design, photographic art.
In conclusion the rector marked that the exchange by students and teachers, realization of joint scientific and educational projects, organization of the joint conferences and seminars not only will enable to prepare new qualified specialists and achieve significant scientific results, but will expand in whole imaginations of Russian and Iranian citizens about each other, will make an important positive contribution in the development of bilateral relations.
