On the 14th of April, 2008, Days of Guatemala opened in the Russian State University for the Humanities. Director of Y.V. Knorozov Mesoamerican research center, Galina G. Ershova, noticed that Days of Guatemala are held in the RSUH in the second time. She stressed that as a rule, events devoted to the culture of different countries, are meant primarily spiritual food, but this time it's decided to devote attention to the food in the true sense of the word - a leitmotif of Days of Guatemala in the RSUH was that country's national cuisine.
