Humboldt Readings took place at RSUH Sept 24-25. The project was timed to coincide with the 200th anniversary of the foundation of Berlin University which embodies educational philosophy of Wilhelm von Humboldt. The event was dedicated to discussing the Humboldt’s educational model, its dissemination in Germany and Russia, and its transposition onto new, 21st century universities. Dr. Bak, vice-rector on Academics, opened the conference. Along with lectures, talks and discussions, there operated a book exhibition “University education in Russia and Europe in the context of Wilhelm von Humboldt’s ideas”.
