The visit took place March 24, timed to coincide with the opening of the Year of Chinese Language at RSUH. The delegation was composed of Lee Hui, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China in Russia, Xiao Pin, Deputy Secretary of the State Council, Zhao Shaohua, Deputy Minister of Culture and other persons of importance.
The delegation presented Dr. Pivovar with a Chinese silk picture and a collection of Chinese stamps.
The guests were shown a presentation of the Internet site of the Institute of Confucius after which the high officials interacted with some students of the Institute.
