The International Conference "The USSR, Its Allies And Enemies In WWII"

The event took place 21-22 April, timed to coincide with the 65^th anniversary of the Victory.  The event was put together by the Institute of History of Archives and Department of Modern Russian History and attended by representatives from many research institutions in Russia.

The topics touched upon at the conference were

• WWII history
• Russian history of WWII
• Holocaust
• Post-war cooperation between Russia and Germany
• Archive declassification
• Nationalistic movements

and others.

The conference was opened by Dr. Pivovar and Dr. Bezborodov, Director of the Institute of History of Archives.
