The Conference was held November 1-5 in the city of Limassol (Cyprus), organized by the International Academy of TV and Radio, Journalists’ Union, Federal Press and Media Agency, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Security Council of Russia. The agenda included discussion of such issues as cyber terrorism, the role of the media in promoting tolerance, cooperation between the media and law enforcement agencies and perspectives of development of international security. RSUH was represented by Dr. Oparina.
Specialists, media professionals, diplomats, experts and researchers from over 20 countries attended the conference.
On October 27 ITAR-TASS held a press conference on the subject at which interviewed were Mr. Erofeev (executive director of IATR), Mr. Kozlov (RSUH analytic department) and Mr. Nechiporenko, head analyst of the National Anti-criminal and Antiterrorist Foundation.
