On August 19, 2024, Summer University "Russia-Africa" opened at RSUH. The event was attended by 12 students from 7 countries: Cameroon, Congo, Mali, Niger, Sudan, Uganda and Chad.
"For us and for our state, cooperation with African countries in the academic, educational, cultural and economic areas is very important. This has been the case historically, starting in the 1960s, but today this area of cooperation is of particular importance," said Vice-Rector Pavel Shkarenkov.
The program was created in 2021 with the aim of international cooperation in the field of education, science and economic development between Russia and African countries. The educational model of African University, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, is a comprehensive pool of courses and disciplines available to the participants in Russian, English and French.
The University offers training in several educational tracks, including "Intercultural Dialogue: Russia-Africa" and "Media Technologies for Promoting Sustainable Tourism". The University "Russia-Africa" will end its work on August 24.
