Rector of RSUH speaks on Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War

Dear faculty, students and staff of RSUH.

I would like to congratulate you on the 79th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.

This is the main holiday in the Russian Federation. And this is quite understandable. Several decades ago, our fathers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers fought against Nazism, winning a victory, the significance of which has only intensified over the years.

Today, with the geopolitical situation having become more complicated and Russia having to resolve many difficult issues, protecting and strengthening its security, the significance of the Great Patriotic War remains eternal for us.

I must say that it is in this enduring significance of the Victory that its great strength lies today. It is important to understand that today Russia and its people have a special attitude towards this holiday. It is associated with enormous trials undergone by the Soviet people in their time. The fact that our people were able to go above and beyond the call of duty and defended the country is a wonderful, shining example of today’s victories in modern Russia.

Allow me to congratulate you on this great holiday and wish you new achievements, health and prosperity.

Alexander Bezborodov, Rector of RSUH
