Dear friends! The New Year is approaching, the time of high hopes for the future
We traditionally celebrate this holiday with the people closest to us. The past year has brought in new challenges and new victories. A milestone was the President’s initiative to update the higher education system in our national interests. Very soon, the corresponding pilot project, taking place on the basis of 6 leading universities, will launch the renewal process in all universities in the country. The higher education system will develop along the path chosen by ourselves, our country. I am confident that by joining forces, we will be able not only to achieve all our goals, but also to secure Russia’s global academic and educational leadership for a long time.
The key to this is the major achievements of domestic science. Thanks to the talent of our outstanding scientists, Russia has a lot to be proud of both in terms of the creation of domestic scientific equipment, of fundamental research, and of advanced applied developments. The upcoming 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences will be an excellent occasion to remember the contribution of our predecessors, to thank those who are working in science now, and to attract talented young people.
On the eve of the holiday, I would like to once again say thank you to all those who teach, research and organize this work. I wish you further success in the coming year! Let your loved ones be healthy and happy! Let your most cherished dreams come true!
