On June 8, 2023, the Russian-Austrian public forum "Sochi Dialogue" celebrated four years since its inception in the Conference Room of the Academic Council of RSUH.
The partner of the event was the leading manufacturer of cochlear implantation systems, the Austrian company MED-EL, with which the Forum had already carried out several projects that support the handicapped.
The event was attended by guests of the Sochi Dialogue, representatives of its coordinating committee, partners and friends of the Forum, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Society for Friendship with Austria, students of the Russian-Austrian master's program at RSUH.
They watched the film "Perfect Ear" about MED-EL's social projects and the process of restoring hearing to people, which even today, in 2023, is seen as a real miracle. The hall was attended by guests from Austria and Germany, with whom, even now, the Sochi Dialogue does not break ties.
The event was opened by Rector Bezborodov: “It is no coincidence that we are meeting today at RSUH, as our fruitful work with the Sochi Dialogue has been going on for more than a year. We really appreciate this cooperation, since RSUH has special relations with Austria and its people, our faculty and students study the history of the development of Russian-Austrian relations with great interest, we have an entire training program dedicated exactly to this.”
Dr. Maria Matveeva, Director of the Forum, spoke about the activities of the Dialogue in 2019-2023, about important milestones in the Russian-Austrian partnership, shared the Forum’s plans with the guests and encouraged them to further fruitful interaction.
