Alexander Ryazanov is the Director and one of the founders of the State Historical and Literary Museum-Reserve of Pushkin. He is Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation, an outstanding historian.

In an interview he shared why he had chosen history as his major and how he passed exams at the Institute. You will learn the learning format at the Institute in the early 1980s, hear stories about your favorite teachers and the history of departments.

“This, one might say, was a gentleman’s education, because we were taught the way they taught Pushkin and Lermontov, the way they taught at Moscow University,” said Alexander Ryazanov, separately noting the level and importance of education at RSUH proper.
