On June 25, a session of the Academic Council was held at RSUH, at which diplomas and certificates of conferring honorary titles were awarded, the Academic Director, deans of faculties, heads of departments elected and the Code of Academic Culture and Ethics of RSUH approved.
Acting Rector of RSUH, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Andrey Loginov delivered a welcoming speech:
“Our University has great potential. The current situation in society and the state demand specialists in humanities, that is, exactly the people we are training here, armed with theory and methodology, able to work with primary sources, reaching interdisciplinary solutions.”
The session began with the awarding of certificates “Honored Professor of RSUH” and “Honored Worker of RSUH”.
For conscientious work, impeccable attention to their duties and in connection with the anniversary of the Institute of History and Archives, the following faculty members were commended:
• Vladimir Kozlov – Professor, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor of the Department of Archival Science, Faculty of Archival and Document Science;
• Alexander Logunov – Professor, Chair of the Department of Public Relations, Tourism and Hospitality, Faculty of Oriental Studies and Social and Communication Sciences;
• Vladimir Pryakhin – Professor of the Department of Foreign Area Studies and Foreign Policy.
For special merits in the creation and development of RSUH, the development of new and promising areas of science, the authoring of fundamental academic and educational works, the creation of a scientific school during the training of academic and pedagogical faculty, the following faculty members were awarded the title “Distinguished Professor of RSUH”:
• David Feldman – Professor of the Department of Literary Criticism;
• Tatyana Khorkhordina – Professor, Chair of the Department of History and Organization of Archival Affairs;
• Pavel Shkarenkov – Professor, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of RSUH.
For many years of work and great personal contribution to the development of RSUH, the title “Honored Employee of RSUH” was awarded to:
• Nikolai Shaburov, Professor, Chair of the Department of History of Religions
• Lilia Bryksina, leading HR specialist
• Tatyana Grigorieva, chief librarian
• Tatyana Dernova, leading document manager of the Administrative Department
• Elena Karaulova, Head of the Financial Accounting Department
• Elena Kononova, specialist in educational and methodological work of the Department of History of Russian Philosophy
• Tatyana Kryzhanovskaya, specialist in educational and methodological work of the Faculty of History and Philology
• Tatyana Markelova, senior lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages
• Yulia Novoselskaya, a records keeping specialist of the Center "Humanities Archive"
• Olga Spiridonova, Deputy Director of the Administrative and Legal Department, Director of the Property Management Department
• Natalya Falkova, Deputy Director of the Administrative and Legal Department, Director of the Legal Department
Certificates of honor for conscientious work and high level in the performance of official duties were awarded to:
• Roman Zlatinsky, Dean of the Faculty of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics
• Yulia Shustova, Professor of the Department of Auxiliary Historical Disciplines and Archeography
• Maxim Balashov, Head of the Office for Work with Students
• Elena Volkova, leading document specialist of the Faculty of International Relations, Political Science and Foreign Area Studies
• Irina Vorobyova, Head of the Department of Contractual and Legal Support for Students
• Rimma Gurskaya, category I specialist in educational and methodological work
• Anton Evtushenko, Head of the Technical Maintenance Department
• Olga Makarevich, Head of the Department of Career Guidance and Admissions
• Oksana Ozerova, Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Methodology
The following people were elected to the position of deans of faculties:

2. Galina Zvereva (Faculty of Cultural Studies),
3. Roman Zlatinsky (Faculty of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics),
4. Natalia Makarova (Faculty of Journalism),
5. Oksana Markovskaya (Faculty of Psychology)
6. Elena Petrushikhina (Faculty of Educational Psychology),
7. Stanislav Timofeev (Faculty of Law),
8. Margarita Khazanova (Faculty of History and Philology).
One of the key events of the session was the election of Professor Pivovar to the position of Academic Director of RSUH. The new position will be related to the main directions of strategic development of the University and the academic support of educational process.
Vice-Rector for Academic Work Olga Pavlenko and Director of the Federal Center for Liberal Arts Practices Alexey Pischulin presented the Code of Academic Culture and Ethics of RSUH.
Dr. Pavlenko said:
“This document, created jointly with the Center for Liberal Arts Practices and with the participation of other institutions of RSUH, will become the constitution of our University; it contains key value foundations.”
The Code was approved and the editorial commission of RSUH appointed, headed by Acting Rector Loginov.
At the end of the session, Council appointed the Chairs of the state examination commissions of RSUH for 2025 and approved the draft decision on the report of Dmitry Bobrov, Vice-Rector for Property Management and Project Activities.
