Academic Council of RSUH summed up the results of the academic year

On June 29, a session of the Academic Council was held at RSUH, at which the results of the 2020/2021 academic year were summed up, an agreement on cooperation was signed between RSUH and the Educational and Methodological Center for Military and Patriotic Education of Youth "Avangard", and elections were held for Chairs of departments and Deans of faculties and institutes of the university.

Rector Bezborodov made a presentation to the members of the Council on the results of the 2020/2021 academic year.

These included: successful state accreditation, the strengthening of the security system, effective work in combating the coronavirus infection and formation of the digital infrastructure of the University during the pandemic.

In addition, the University received major tasks from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Also, the University is successfully implementing a program of internal academic and educational grants (for writing monographs, textbooks, developing new educational programs).

Rector presented the most significant academic projects, the implementation of which is currently being carried out at RSUH. These include both fundamental and socially significant applied research.

Rector paid special attention to the results of work with students. During the academic year, 27 university-wide student associations functioned at the University, including the United Council of Students and the Primary Trade Union Organization of Students. Also, the GTO Festival was held for the first time on the territory of the University with student teams.

In the past academic year, 261 people received an increased state academic scholarship, financial support was provided 941 times, and 9 students received a personal scholarship from the Moscow Government.

Summing up the results of his speech, Rector outlined the main directions of the development of the University. The plans include the organization of professional, public and international accreditation of educational activities, the development of lifelong education programs, the opening of a branch in Samarkand, the creation of several dissertation committees, the maintenance of the protected architectural objects of RSUH, as well as the installation of multimedia equipment in classrooms.

“We have a lot of work to do. The main directions have been determined, getting us to continue to work together. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone for the excellent work in the 2020/2021 academic year,” concluded Dr. Bezborodov.

Rector also asked his colleagues to closely monitor their health in the face of the coronavirus infection.

A cooperation agreement was signed between RSUH and the Educational and Methodological Center for Military and Patriotic Education of Youth "Avangard". The document was signed by Rector Bezborodov and Ms. Daria Borisova, Director of the Center.

Dr. Bezborodov noted the importance of cooperation between the University and the Center: “Many of our students take an active part in the work of the Patriot Park, and I think that with the help of our cooperation agreement, we will continue this”.

“It is an honor for our Center to contribute to the development of the Russian education together with RSUH. I hope that in the future we will be able to get the University experts to work with children as part of our military and patriotic module,” said Daria Olegovna.

Special attention, according to her, will be paid to working with students of RSUH.

The participants of the session elected directors of institutes, deans of faculties, as well as Chairs of departments and the Domodedovo branch.

The results of the competition for internal grants of RSUH for writing textbooks were summed up and the following new educational programs were approved:

  • 10.04.01 - Information Security (Master's degree)
  • 54.04.04 - Restoration (Master's degree)
  • 54.03.04 - Restoration (Bachelor's degree)

The Council unanimously supported the draft Regulation on the competition "My first monograph".

New versions of the main educational programs of higher education for the 2021/2022 academic year were approved and amendments and additions to the effective contract of the RSUH were made official.

The members of the Council supported the renaming of the Faculty of International Relations and Foreign Area Studies into the Faculty of International Relations, Political Science and Foreign Area Studies.

The title of Associate Professor was awarded to:

  • Dr. Nadezhda Balandina (5.2.1. - Economic theory)
  • Dr. Anastasia Belonovskaya (5.2.1. - Economic theory)
  • Dr. Vladimir Shunikov (5.9.3. - Theory of literature).

Ms. Anna Solovieva, 2nd year Master's student at the Faculty of Journalism, received a letter of thanks for popularizing the achievements of Russian scientists and active work in the Student Press Center at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The letter was signed by Mr. Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
