A Session Of The Academic Council Of RSUH

The event took place 20 May. The agenda included elections to Dean and Chair positions, presentaions of new M.A. and B.A. programs.

Dr. Gorodetsky, professor of Oxford, was awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa, Dr. Senin of RSUH was awarded the first place in the “Best Books of Russia” competition (for his book “Railway transport in Russia during wars and revolutions”).

The Council voted for petitioning the Ministry of Education and Science to award a RSUH scholar, Dr. Kreidlin, with the State Certificate of Merit. Dr. Kreidlin is a renowned specialist in the field of non-verbal linguistics, he created the first dictionary of gestures in Russia.

Dr. Novikova was elected Dean of the School of Medical Psychology, Dr. Razina – Dean of the School of Psychology, Dr. Khovrina – Dean of the School of Social Psychology and Pedagogy, Dr. Toschenko – Dean of the School of Sociology.

Dr. Krongauz, Director of the Institute of Linguistics presented two new M.A. programs, Dr. Durnovtsev (Department of Source Studies) presented one and Dr. Dybo (Center for Comparative Studies) – also one.
