On the 31st of January, 2007 the official visit of the delegation from the People's Republic of China took place in the RSUH. In the content of this representative delegation the deputy director of the Cabinet over the expansion of the Chinese of PRC abroad Chjao Gochen, the deputy of the head of the division of the clerical office, attached to the State Council of PRC Chjan Syango, the chief of the division of the Department over the international cooperation and exchange of the Ministry of Education of PRC Tyan Lisin, the deputy of the chief of the Division over the exchange of the Cabinet over the expansion of the Chinese of PRC abroad Li Yuan, the deputy of the chief of the Department over forming of the province Heilongjiang Chjao Min, the chief of the division of the Department of the Independent district of internal Mongolia Chju Guan were involved in.
The rector of the RSUH Efim I. Pivovar, the director of the M.A. Krongauz Insitute for linguistics, attached to a chair of the eastern languages M.B. Rukodelnikova met with the guests of honor.
The questions of the development of the scientific-educational cooperation between our University and the educational institutions of China were discussed at the meeting. The special consideration was given to the discussion of the joint project of the RSUH and PRC – the Confucius Institute, which is planned to be opened in 2007.
Efim I. Pivovar emphasized the actuality and the importance of creating of the new scientific-educational Institute on the basis of the RSUH for the development of two-way communications, the preparation of specialists of the appropriate profile, and also for the activation of the research work at the area of linguistics, history, philosophy, culture and art. He expressed confidence in that, that the education in the Institute of Confucius will be popular in the Russian society, taking into account the great interest to China in our country and the positive dynamics in the development of the Russian-Chinese cooperation in the sphere of the international relations, economics and cultural life.
The members of the Chinese delegation declared, that the main goal for the forming of the Institute of Confucius on the basis of the RSUH is, first of all, to satisfy the demands of Russian students and specialists, who are interested in the Chinese language, history and culture. Besides, the Institute of Confucius must become the base for the preparation of the highly-qualified personnel for the Russian State institutions and private companies, cooperating with PRC. The Chinese guests positively estimated the cooperation with Russian educational institutions, including the RSUH, which has concluded the contract with the University of Sinhua.
M.A. Krongauz, in return, emphasized, that the RSUH while creating the Institute of Confucius pursues the following objectives: the qualitative teaching of the Chinese language, history, culture of PRC, the development of the scientific cooperation, the organization of the joint projects, including the projects, concerning the exchange of students, and also the distribution of knowledge about China in Russia.
In conclusion, Efim I. Pivovar noted, that the creating of the Institute of Confucius is the important stage not only in the strengthening of the scientific-educational connections, but also for the development of the humanitarian knowledge in whole.
The members of the Chinese delegation expressed their hope for the return visit to PRC from the side of the RSUH. In conclusion of the meeting, the exchange with souvenirs took place.
