The International Educational and Scientific Center for Study of the Sudan Civilization is unique department in Russia which has no analogues with other Universities of globe that provides an opportunity to gain fundamental knowledge in the field of ancient and early medieval history of Sudan, ancient kingdoms of Nubia, Meroe. The center was created at the Russian State University for Humanities in 2022, directed by Eleonora Kormysheva, the head of the Russian archaeological mission of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences at Abu Erteila with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Sudan. The Center is launching an educational programs master degree, and a bachelor program in future, organizes conferences, lectures, and cultural events.
