In Brazil, there is an Open University, where leading experts in various fields of economics give lectures. Studying at such a university is free as well and is considered as additional qualification. For teachers, this is a volunteer work, it’s their contribution to the prosperity of their country.
Every year, the university holds a conference with a broadcast to the whole country and invites Brazilian and foreign experts to give mini-courses online as well as offline. In 2024, such invitees were the Embassy of the Republic of Brazil in Russia, represented by the Minister Counselor of the Embassy Marcelo Böhlke and the Counselor for Science Andre Rypl, and the International Russian-Brazilian Center of the Russian State University for the Humanities, represented by the director of the center, Associate Professor Lyudmila Baturina.
The course was devoted to innovative approaches to cooperation between the two countries in the field of education and science.
The moderator was Professor Fred Leite de Сampos, Federal University of Santa Catarina, a partner university of RSUH
