New opportunities for students, academic dialogue development between Russia and Indonesia, cultural values, and mutual understanding.
"We are open and ready to welcome your students," said Vera Zabotkina, Acting Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at RSUH, inviting Indonesian students to study at RSUH during a meeting with Berlian Helmy, Deputy Plenipotentiary Minister of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Russia. The meeting took place on April 22 to discuss the development of bilateral academic ties and the upcoming visit of Indonesia's Deputy Speaker of Parliament to RSUH.
The parties discussed expanding academic and cultural collaboration between RSUH and leading Indonesian universities, focusing on joint educational programs, dual degree initiatives, mutual qualification recognition, and the development of integrated curricula.
They also addressed possibilities for quota-based studies funded by the Russian government and the prospects of teaching Indonesian language at RSUH.
"We want to convey to the Russian academic community an understanding of Indonesian cultural and social values. This is crucial today, when the world needs mutual understanding and respect for each other's identities," said Berlian Helmy, adding that Indonesia was equally interested in studying Russian values and eager to explore new forms of educational cooperation. The meeting concluded with agreements to develop a cooperation project between RSUH and Indonesian universities to promote academic mobility and provide students with the opportunity to obtain dual degrees.
