The International Round Table "Translations of the World fairy tales" was held on November 25, 2022
The International Round Table "Translations of the World fairy tales" was held in Zoom meeting at the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH). The event was organized by Hindi group students and teachers.
Teachers, translators and students fr om Russian and foreign universities presented their papers dedicated to the word folk tale, as the most popular genre of Folk Art.
An online exhibition «Russian fairy tales' characters" organized by the students of the Art Design Educational Center held during the Round Table. Exhibition curator Dr. Tatiana Borisova.
The plenary session was open by following presenters:
1) Dr. Boris Volkhonsky, Associate Professor, Department of Indian Philology, Institute of African and Asian Studies Lomonosov Moscow State University.
Topic of paper: "Motifs of Sinhalese fairy tales - wh ere did they come from?"
2) Dr. Guzel Strelkova, Associate Professor, Department of Indian Philology, Institute of African and Asian Studies Lomonosov Moscow State University.
Topic of paper: "A series of books on the folklore of the peoples of India";
3) Prof. Hema Chandra Pande (India). Topic of the report: "Ivan Minaev ‘s Folk Tales and Legends of Kumaon"
