RSUH Hindi group students took 2nd place in the nominations of “Hindi Divas in MGIMO University”

RSUH Hindi group students – Amina Mukhamethanova, Sofia Kiseleva, Maria Skorobogatova, Alena Plotnikova, Alina Fasakhova, Arina Novikova took part in the Online Hindi Poetry contest, organized by Department of Indo-Iranian and African Languages, Moscow State University of International Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia (MGIMO)
Hindi teachers – Dr. Maria Starikova, Dr Alesya Maltseva, under the guidance of Prof. Elena Gladkova, Head of department organized a fantastic 2 days program “Hindi Divas in MGIMO University”.
The program of events included
1) a student conference "Language Policy in Independent India: The Role of Hindi" was held on November 1, 2021
2) Hindi essay competition took place online:
Essay topic for students studying Hindi as a first language was - “The role of India as a regional power” (क्षेत्रीय शक्ति के रूप में भारत की भूमिका).
Essay topic for students studying Hindi as a second language: “Hindi as the key to the study of India” (हिंदी भारत के अध्ययन की कुंजी).
3) Online Hindi Poetry contest.
Welcoming speeches were delivered by:
Prof. Segey Efteev, Head of the Department of Language Training and the Bologna Process, Professor of the Department of the German Language, Chairman of the Research Methodological Council on Foreign Languages.

RSUH winners:
Kristina Chirkova, 4th year BA student Faculty of International Relations, Political Science and foreign regional studies took 2nd place in the nomination of the student’ s conference. She presented her paper “Language policy of India in the context of the introduction of Hindi into the southern and eastern regions of the country”
Hindi group students – Maria Skorobogatova, Alina Fasakhova, Arina Novikova took 2nd place in the Online Hindi Poetry contest.
They recited the famous Indian poets 's poem very expressive and with good pronunciation.
