RSUH 3rd year Hindi group students and teachers organized the monthly student workshop concerning the discussion about the prospects for the International North–South Transport Corridor: Russia and India (INSTC) tried to strengthen its relations and transportation links.
BA students presented their reports representing three next countries:
• Maria Skorobogatova and Alina Fasahova focused in their message on how the Islamic Republic of Iran became the initiator of a new Transport Corridor project. They also mentioned the port of Chabahar and talked about its importance for both Iran and India.
• Amina Mukhaetkhanova and Alena Plotnikova spoke about the benefits of Russia in the construction of the INSTC. What challenges it faced and why for Russia the INSTC project is of greater value than the "One Belt - One Road" concept.
• Ekaterina Moskalenko and Sofiya Kiseleva represented India and discussed the mutual benefit of a new Transport Corridor for Russian-Indian trade relations. New countries were mentioned that had also joined the INSTC project and what contradictions arose in the course of their accession.
• Novikova Arina, 2nd MA year student, asked students leading questions and acted as a moderator of the discussion.
Prof. Alexander Stolyarov described to students the international conferences that were devoted to the discussion of the INSTC project, and also highlighted important events that took place during the planning and implementation of the project.
Dr. Indira Gazieva showed the students the routes along which the INSTC routes pass, which helped the students to better visualize the entire trade route.
The workshop was aimed to develop professional and research competencies of the students who study Asian studies.
