The International scientific online conference “Recitations of Rabindranath Tagore’s poems in various translations” was held at RSUH and was dedicated to the 160th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, Great Indian poet, composer, painter, and India's first Nobel laureate.
Shri Vipin Kumar, First Secretary of the Political Wing of the Embassy of India to Russia delivered a message of the His Excellency Shri D. Bala Venkatesh Varma, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Russia.
Welcoming speech was also delivered by:

Prof. Chander Shekhar, Director, Lal Bahadur Shastri Centre for Indian Culture, Tashkent, Uzbekistan;

Dr. Arunim Bandyopadhyay,Head,Centre of Russian Studies, School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University;

Prof. Meeta Narain, Centre of Russian studies, JNU presented the paper on the topic of “Tagore's role in translation studies”.
Prof. Ulfat Mukhibova, Head of the Department of Languages of South and Southeast Asia, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (Uzbekistan).
The students of the Secondary School No. 653 with in-depth study of foreign languages (Hindi and English) St. Petersburg named after Rabindranath Tagore presented their recitation Tagore’s poems and songs in Hindi, Bengali, English and Russian languages.
Mrs.Yulia Beshchuk, a Hindi teacher, recited the Tagore‘s poem in Bengali in her own translation into Russian.
St. Petersburg State University graduates A.L. Sladkov and Y. Zhavoronkova presented the performance of the R. Tagore's songs.
Students of Moscow, St. Petersburg and Tashkent (Uzbekistan) State Universities recited Tagore’s poems in Hindi, Russian, Uzbek, Bengali and English languages.
The scholars of the Moscow State University, Saint-Petersburg State University, Tashkent State oriental university and RSUH presented their papers:
