Center for Russian Studies of Jawaharlal Nehru University (Delhi, India) is organized the 1st Interactive workshop concerning the topic about Mahatma Gandhi's thoughts about translation and interpretation.
Prof. Hem Chandra Pande was a keynote speaker.
RSUH Hindi group students – Alina Fasakhova, Maria Skorobogatova, Amina Muhametkhanova, Sofia Kiseleva, Viktor Toropov, Alena Plotnikova, Ekaterina Moskalenko and teachers – prof Alexander Stolyarov and Indira Gazieva also took part in this workshop.
More than 70 scholars, interpreters, teachers and students from various world Universities (Indian, Russian, Kyrgyzstan, London, Puna, Mumbai, Sanct-Peterburg, Moscow, RSUH, Bihar, Ujjain, Delhi, EFFLU, Lucknow, IGNOU, Kolhapur etc) could take part in this workshop.
Dr. Kiran Singh Verma introduced all participants with the Prof. Pande ji’s career during his work at JNU and his research and translation works from Russian into Hindi. Prof. Pande ji was one of the founders of the Center for Russian studies JNU (New Delhi).
Prof. Pande ji’s lecture made a strong impression and interest.
Valedictory speech was given by Prof Ranjana Banerjee who thanked Prof. Pande ji for his excellent presentation and all the participants for their questions and remarks.
We also profoundly thank Center for Russian Studies of JNU for the opportunity to participate and for bringing the knowledge of Indian culture among Russia students.
