Sahityik Sanskrutik Shodh Sanstha, Mumbai is going to organize International Seminar on the topic “Contribution of the Indian & the Russian cultures at the era of Globalization” on 27, May 2016 in collaboration with “DISHA” Russian-Indian friendship society, Moscow and International Centre for South Asian studies of Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH).
The objectives of the Seminar are:
· The bring the languages and literatures of India and Russia together
· Cultural exchanges between India and Russia
· To covey the knowledge, philosophy, tradition and trends of India to the new generation of Russian students through the Professors of India
· Interaction by Indian Professors with academic counterpart in Russia to gain the knowledge about modern Russian Society.
There are several reasons for holding such event. They are: to involve scientific communities into the process of study Hindi language and literature and to integrate them within this process, to develop ties with leading educational and scientific centres for South Asian studies in Russia, CIS countries and abroad, and to familiarize RSUH students and teachers with the national Indian rules and traditions.
The event is actively supported by the Jawaharlal Nehru Indian Cultural Centre (JNCC), Embassy of India in Russian Federation.
The Seminar is to be inaugurated at 11:00 on May 27, 2016 at the Conference hall #228, 7 block.
Inaugural speeches of Mr. Ashsh Sharma, Director of JNCC, Dr. Rameshwar Singh, the founder and President of the Russian-India Friendship society “DISHA” and prof. Sergey Serebryaniy, Director of the Institute of Advanced Studies of RSUH are the important part of its inauguration Program.

During the seminar, Professor Pradeep Kumar Singh will present the "The contribution of Russia, India and Uzbekistan in culture, literature at the era of Globalization"’s magazine.
This International Seminar will be a logical continuation of bilateral constructive dialogue between Russia and India in the field of linguistics, theory and practice of translation, philology, philosophy and culture. During the meeting, the Russian and Indian teachers will exchange views on methods of teaching Hindi language.
We hope that holding of such International Seminars between Indian and Russian universities will become a tradition.
