RSUH took part in the Second Forum of University Rectors of Kazakhstan and Russia “Current Trends in Higher Education and Science”

The II Forum of Rectors of Universities of Kazakhstan and Russia was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was attended by Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

Over 60 Russian and Kazakh universities took part in the event; more than 20 interuniversity agreements were signed, which confirms their mutual interest in jointly solving issues facing higher education in Russia and Kazakhstan.

By now, the branches of six leading Russian universities in Russia have been opened in Kazakhstan: Moscow State University in Almaty, MAI "Voskhod" in Baikonur, National Research Nuclear University in Almaty, ChelSU in Kostanay, St. Petersburg Humanitarian University of Trade Unions in Almaty and Russian State University of Oil and Gas in Atyrau.

  The main goal of the event is the development of ties between universities of the two countries and the formation of mutually beneficial relations between representatives of science and education.

Dr. Zabotkina, Acting Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of RSUH, spoke on the topic of digital humanities at RSUH.

An agreement was signed between RSUH and Buketov Karaganda University. Another agreement was renewed, with the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

After the plenary session, the heads of educational organizations joined the work of three discussion platforms dedicated to the most pressing issues in the field of education.
