RSUH celebrated Nowruz, an ancient Asian spring holiday.
Nowruz originates in Ancient Persia and is one of the main holidays in Central Asia and the Middle East. It symbolizes the onset of spring and is a cultural event for many peoples of Russia. Students made presentations about the customs and history of Nowruz and showed a video about its traditions. The rich program of the event included master classes on Iranian calligraphy, cooking national dishes and poems about Nowruz in Uzbek, Russian and Persian.
One of the brightest moments of the celebration was the show of female students who performed the traditional Nowruz dance from Uzbekistan.
